Congratulations to former Lady Sen goaltender Amanda Leveille (2012) on winning the inaugural Walter Cup with PWHL Minnesota!
Leveille was drafted to PWHL Minnesota last summer, the latest team in her long collegiate and professional hockey career.
Amanda graduated from the Senators in 2012 and went to the University of Minnesota, Golden Gophers. The Gophers would win the NCAA championship three times by the time she graduated, finishing her college career fifth in NCAA history for wins and sixth for shutouts.
In 2015 Leveille was drafted 12th overall in the first NWHL draft, and in 2016 became the first NWHL draft pick in league history to sign with a team, when she joined the PHF Buffalo Beauts. She played two seasons for the Beauts winning the Isobel Cup in 2017. She then signed to PHF Minnesota Whitecaps where she won another Isobel Cup in 2019. Leveille is a two-time winner of PHF Goaltender of the Year, first in 2018 and then again in 2021.
